Sahara One Media & Entertainment gained ended at Rs 65.00, up 4.00%.
Sahara chief Subrata Roy's lawyer Ram Jethmalani assured the SC that investors' money will be refunded in 2 months time. Roy also assured the court that its order will be followed by him. "I have faith in you. Punish me if I don't comply with your order," Roy told the court.
Roy apologised to the Supreme Court for not being present before the apex court on February 26. "I apologise for my earlier absence. My reasons were genuine," Roy said.
Earlier in the day, Roy was subjected to an ink attack outside the Supreme Court. A man, who later identified himself as Manoj Sharma threw black ink on the face of Roy in the apex court premises.
Sharma, who claimed to be a lawyer from Gwalior, was detained by the police. According to Times Now, Manoj Sharma is also the same man who in April 2011 tried to hit Suresh Kalmadi with a slipper.
Roy was on Monday taken by road to New Delhi for production by 2 PM on Tuesday before the Supreme Court which had issued a non-bailable warrant against him in a case of alleged contempt.
Roy surrendered on Friday last and was arrested by the police which he had evaded for two days. The Supreme Court had ordered his arrest after he failed to appear before the court in a contempt case for non-appearance before it.
The Sahara chief was lodged in a guest house of the state forest department at Kukrail here after the state police was directed by a local court on February 28 to keep him in its custody till March 4 when he will be produced before the Supreme Court.
