Here is an in-depth look at the whos who of the country and a sneak peek at who they got married to. Anil Ambani’s R-ADAG group vice-chairman Amitabh Jhunjhunwala’s son Abhinav tied the knot with Kolkata jute baron Ghanshyam Sarda’s daughter Prerna last year. While Abhinav is a graduate from UC Berkeley and works in Singapore, Prerna is a graduate from New York University, and is in her father’s business.
In 2004, Lakshmi Mittal’s only daughter Vanisha got married to Amit Bhatia, a businessman in London. Amit is the Chairman of Hope Construction Materials, UK’s largest independent supplier of concrete, cement, aggregates and asphalts. Raakhe Kapoor, daughter of YES Bank boss Rana Kapoor, is married to entrepreneur Alkesh Tandon. Alkesh is based in Dubai, where he runs Best Interiors, an international boutique design house.
